A Collectors’ Kitchen Serves Up Art Daily

John Starck Designs Modern Art Glass Kitchen

John Starck of Showcase Kitchens, Roslyn, Long Island clients not only wanted a kitchen nobody else had, they wanted their new kitchen to showcase a personal passion.  This 450 square foot eat-in-kitchen/dining room showplace was designed for avid art glass collectors, providing them with a unique venue for high-style entertaining.  Stark’s challenge was to create a gallery within a fully-functional modern kitchen.

He used highly-polished surfaces, dramatic lighting and architectural detailing as his backdrop and frame.  His floor plan integrated plenty of efficient kitchen space and sites for optimal viewing of the art for the diners.  Top-of-the-line, high-performance, Wolf Sub-Zero appliances assured the owners that they would have plenty of time to relax and enjoy their artful environment.

In the first picture of the gallery you can see what the kitchen looked like before!
